Hello, I am Martijn.

In my bright, beautiful psychology practice two blocks from the Westerpark in Amsterdam, I offer therapy focused on the essence of your symptoms and challenges.

Basic perspective: flourishing life
I wholeheartedly wish you a flourishing (inner) life where your light shines bright and you can fully realize your potential. This goes beyond reducing symptoms. The therapy I offer is inspired by my previous experiences with White Mudra Healing and mental health care.

Clinical Psychology (cum laude) and Medicine

I studied Clinical Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam (MSc Clinical Psychology, cum laude) and Open Universiteit (BSc Psychology). Previously, I have obtained a doctoraal (4-year program) in Medicine (University of Amsterdam – UvA) and a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Econometrics (all cum laude – UvA and LSE).

Experience mental healthcare (ggz) institutions
I worked as a trainee psychologist at the Mood and Anxiety Disorders outpatient clinic of GGz Centraal in Amersfoort. In addition to general diagnostics, intakes, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I primarily focused on psychological care for people with bipolar (manic depressive) and psychotic symptomatology.
